Montana Monsters
This illustrated map of Montana lists the top nine most iconic monster from local folklore and superstition. The back of the map shows a more detailed look at the monsters and their danger ranked. This piece was created to draw tourists to the state and inform visitors on local culture.
Research
An important part of this project was conducting an accurate display of the information on the map through research. Being from Montana gave me a head start in knowing the local folklore, but Montana is a pretty big state. It took many searches on the internet to find the history and oral stories of monsters in the state, but the information was needed to relate to the real stories told by these superstitious Montanans.
